2009 is almost over and out

2009,,, what a year. Other blogs have summed up the web activities pretty nicely so I'm just going to add some personal thoughts.

*Spotify
Thank God for Spotify. Seriously... imagine your day without it? It's such a luxury to be able to listen to such a wide range of music for free. 2009 was also the year when I really gave up on testosterone indie music and switched to female artists. Lady Gaga, Madonna (OK 20 years late here), Mary J Blige, Fever Ray, Shakira... it may not be to everyone's taste but there it is.

*Twitter... of course!

*Youtube tutorials
Learnt some dance moves just by following and watching Youtube tutorials. Saved me some dance class cash!

*Niche'd sites and forums
Because everything gets so much more relevant. Relevant is so much better. Those who know me know which sport I'm talking about :)

*Competitions
Enter!
As long as you don't have to sign your life away to win something, I'd say do it. I did two weeks ago and won a digital camera.

2010 should be a good web year where we hopefully utilize the wonders of the web to learn, become better and last but not least, have fun!

Still alive :)

That flu was EVIL! :) But back! Latest web fascination? Kind of 10 - 15 years too late... a dedicated forum to a passionate hobby. There's this sport forum which I've been spending time on, and it never ceases to amaze me how lovely and supportive forum members can be.

Got a question? You'll have an honest and encouraging answer in a matter of minutes.
Want to help others? They will appreciate it.

Sometimes it's easy to forget just how helpful community sites can be when the users share the same passion. Again, not a revelation to the web world per se, but it's hit a personal note :)
